Assuming a June 1st release date, we’re just under 6 months away from one of the biggest sports titles in recent memory. UFC 2009 is already being touted as a possible Game of The Year candidate , and was IGN’s Best Sports game of E3 2008. The editors at gamespot chose it for it’s Editor’s Choice Award at the entertainment expo as well.

It’s safe to say that Yukes’ first venture into the world of MMA will be one of the most anticipated games of 2009. The silence on the game has been loud, however. Not much in terms of official press, and confirmed info is hard to come by.
