Gears 3...who's getting it? Who's not?

I know for a fact my man 7th Number will be picking it up and so will I come launch day but who else? Every time a topic comes up regarding pretty big games clans are started but usually fail on GR. I'd like to see a handful of us grab this game and waste some nights playing Horde mode. Anyways back on topic who's snatching the final "Gears" title from Epic?

Just picked up NCAA Football and I'll have a busy fall when it comes to video games so I think I'll just leave this one out. I felt like Gears was a solid a game and I enjoyed it. Than I got Gears 2 and just never really even seemed to play it. Got rid of it to a friend before I even finished the campaign mode. Unless I hear some ranting and I have money burning a hole in my pocket (highly unlikely i might add) I don't see myself picking up Gears 3.

You know it. Right now i have Limited edition pre ordered but i really want to get the console + epic edition. If i can somehow get a job before release day!

I second that, Gears has been one of my favorite first person shooters for a while. I enjoy it a lot more than the over-hyped COD games.

That said, it will be a launch day pick up for me as well.

Whats so much fun about Gears is if you don't like the competitive nature of the multiplayer and worry too much of your k/d ratio you can always jump to the social servers plus if your aiming for some coop fun your guaranteed a great campaign plus the instant classic Horde mode. Gears 3 is going to blow my expectations away...can't wait for this game.

I figured I'd pick this up eventually, but Best Buy had some crazy deal where if you pre-order 5 games coming out in the fall you get a $100 certificate. Gears was on the list so I ended up pre-ordering it. I'm probably in the minority here, but I played and enjoyed the first 2 Gears mainly for the single player. I'm not much of a multi-player gamer. So since that was the case, I was originally going to wait for a price drop. But I couldn't resist that deal. I might hop on and do co-op if I see any of you on there.

I'll get it when it becomes available for under £15. The servers will still be plenty full by the time that happens, plus I'm not interested in the story at all anyway.

Gears 1 and 2 i was more interested in the story. But playing a ton of gears 2 mp made me a fan. Really didnt give gears 1 mp much of a chance. I tried it a few times and got owned so bad i was lucky to get 1 kill in a whole match. But now im a lot better. So gears 3 ill be looking forward to both story and mp. Cant wait.

So this is probably the first year in gawd knows how long that I have SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many frikkin games on my radar that's it's ridiculous and I don't know if I'm gonna be able to get them all the moment they come out but this year (and early '12) was marked as my "Year of the Three-quels". It started with MvC3 day one, it will continue with Gears 3 day one, Saints Row 3 day one, and Mass Effect 3 day one. The rest of them like Arkham City and Tomb Raider can wait, but Gears is definitely the most important of the group right now. It's probably top of the list of games that I play regularly and the only game I will willingly play at any given time of day. It doesn't put me to sleep like SvR11 does so I can play it late night and still be able to concentrate.

Actually seeing footage from the new Horde mode, which is pretty much all I play on Gears 2 even though I wasn't too too bad on the beta... impressed myself actually and I'll probably play more Deathmatches online this year, got me overly excited. I punch whatever I can everytime I think "Damn... if it wasn't for Microsoft we could've had this sheeit 3 months ago!!" and honestly I'd rather have it in my hands right now, this very moment, than to let them hold it hostage and polish everything up. I want it NAO! TIRED OF WAITING! Beast Mode is also something that's got me wanting to get my hands on 3. Tickers eating grenades and running into people, controlling a Giant Centipede, and Armored Kantus with its Sonic the Hedgehog spiked death roll? I'm so there. I'm... so... there.

Count me in guys! I really did not care for the GOW 3 Beta but i will get the game when it launches this year!
