Star of 'The Marine 3' Revealed

After weeks of rampant speculation surrounding the identity of the wrestler who will star in WWE Studios' upcoming action movie The Marine 3, it looks like we have an answer at long last.

Nobody saw this one coming:

According to PWI, former WWE Champion The Miz has been confirmed by WWE, and will be starring in the flick, the latest installment of WWE's popular Marine franchise, which is due to start filming in June in Vancouver, British Columbia.

While he may seem like an unusual choice for the role, Miz has previous acting experience: he recently guest-starred in an episode of popular USA Network show Psych and has a role in the film The Campaign, an upcoming comedy starring Will Ferrell and Zack Galifianakis.

I won't be seeing this. I can't see myself taking him seriously.

What I find funny is that the article starts off with "After weeks of rampent speculation". Really? Haven't heard a lick of speculation, much less even knew there was going to be a Marine 3...and I know about movies coming out in 2014.

But alas, I managed to watch WWE's most recent movie "Bending the Rules" with Edge and Jamie Kennedy...and it was actually pretty good, shows WWE films can actually make something decent.

The only WWE film I thought was half decent was Kane in See No Evil. As it was your run of a mill horror movie and you can't really fuck those up if you stick to the plan.

The Bus movie with HHH was soooo fucking bad, I watched it on Netflix and wanted my time back. I watched Cena's first movie and again thought it was shite. So I have made myself a promise to never support their film industry as who ever is ,either has no standard of taste or is playing the sickest practical joke ever!

In saying all of the above I think Walking Tall with The Rock was funded by WWE Films... That was actually decent. But it was a remake.

And is it me or does it seem like all of the WWE Films movies are Spike primetime shows? I swear just by looking at a glance that Edge movie looked like an episode of Psyched to me. They really lack that "movie quality" feel to them

Bending the Rules was actually pretty good...I went intoit not expecting anything, and was pretty entertained through out. Not a 5 star movie or anything, but it was a decent B movie.

Agreed! It's a good thing to have standards in movies. I am not going to give WWE a free pass because they are a wrasslin company!
