I was not a fan of that belt, that much to begin with, but anything ANYTHING is better than the Spinner and that new title. I would take it in a heartbeat over the current and potentially new title. My favorite belt is the circular Attitude Belt and of course I would love the eagle belt.

Another title that needs renovation is the UGLY US Championship. Although, it is befitting of a buffoon that wears it in Santino Marella. I would love to go back to the WCW US title or scrap the whole belt and change it to the TV championship.

Anyway, I just think the spinner and the new belt say "toy" and not CHAMPIONSHIP. I think CM Punk and Bryan who will be wearing it in 10 days look or would look ridiculous wearing it and they do. I could never imagine HBK or Bret Hart ever possessing such a non-prestigious title. Neither should the Punk's and Bryan's of the world and those who follow in their footsteps have a championship with so little prestige.

I'm starting to think it could just be a side plate, there's no name plate? and it just seems small to me.

Either way, its clearly a work in progress and already gives me the impression it will be better then the current championship.

I hope it's a side plate. I was noticing that there was no name plate. That would be much more palatable. Somehow I don't think it is as they completely massacred their last new titles with the tag team and diva's championship. So, this would not surprise me if this was the center piece.

I agree with the Attitude era belt was by far the best in my opinion and speaking of opinions that is where I end agreeing with you. I hate the name "TV Champion" it sounds like something a fat guy would be proud of. Just sitting on his arse watching shit loads of WWE.

US Champion is fine.... Personally I would scrap all the double belts for shows and just have 3 major titles. WWE Champion, Intercontinental Champion and WWE Tag Team Champions. It will make the titles mean more and the fact that the brand split is basically non-existent it would not hurt Smackdown or Raw. There are so many titles that it means a lot less to be a champion. It's like giving the losing team medals for showing up.

I remember when all these titles meant something, I remember really giving a shit about who held the I.C. title because you knew they was legit and a future contender for the WWE title. I remember epic battles for that title.

Or when the tag team titles were apart of the most exciting division to watch.

When you have the WWE champion playing second fiddle to John Cena storyline that seems to be written 5 minutes before they go live.... Big Johnny, Michael Cole, Big Show and Lord Tenshits vs Superman. What the fuck is going on!

The title is the brass ring that makes everything make sense if you do not make that the icing on the cake you have to bank of people giving a fuck forever about B movie story lines as the main reason to watch wrestling.... I am losing interest in WWE again unfortunately.

I agree about everything falling behind including the WWE championship. The only time that should happen is at wrestlemania with the streak taking a whole life of its own. It's an insult to punk and a the title. I do like the angle of show saying he's not an entertainer and he takes out the clowns (no disrespect to doink...lol) at least matt Bourne could wrestle. Though, that should be lower in the card than the WWE title match. I mean when you are no longer about wrestling and more about entertainment (family entertainment) and more like the three stooges, it makes me nauseated. The bbq thesauce was just pathetic and when you have Cole in the ring you know that something stupid is going to follow. Also, you take the two best wrestlers in the company and add Kane destroys another potential classic. You wouldn't have HBK and Bret hart and throwing sycho sid to the mix. Things are will get worse if Linda McMahon wins her primary and her business is under scrutiny. It will be even more PG with kids focused "entertainment ".

Oh god hopefully not... I am on the verge of stopping my wrestling watching habits for a while. I am going to see what happens at No Way Out with HHH and Brock and see if that alongside Punk and Bryan can save my interest.

I haven't heard anything about HHH and Lesnar at no way out. Maybe they are working on that for Summer Slam. I would think they would hype the hell out of that with it being a week and change. Yeah, but they killed what could be a great match and continued rivalry by adding Kane to the mix. He shouldn't be in this at all. These guys are the actual wrestlers of the whole friggin company. They could have a sustained rivalry going all the way to the end of the year. Their both that good and they throw Kane in. I like Kane for his purpose. He hurts people he attacks the faces and whatnot. He should not what shouldn't have to be but because it's not the main event the "show stealer" match.

Also, they are starting to get a little squashy on Raw. You have Goldberg, I mean Ryback facing gilberg's cousins...lol. You have the joke of a tag team champions vs. The Kings of NXT or Superstars in Reks and Hawkins and the return of Sin Cara vs Hunico. Sandwiched between TWO actual matches in Ziggler vs Shaemus & Punk vs Kane. This is the competition that they are throwing out there.

How are they going to fill THREE hours, when they barely have TWO hours of material? All I know is if I see Pee Wee Herman or the Muppets, I am going to be tuning out until the RTWM begins. I want them to put Santino, Ryder, Clay and all the other "entertainers" back in their little cubbies where they belong. Maybe they will start using Rhodes and Ziggler in much bigger spots who are "blue chippers" as JR would call them and Punk and Bryan will be at the helm of this sinking ship and get it back afloat.

I have a feeling that plate is the proverbial "red herring"...these replica title manufacturing websites, some make custom titles. that could be just a picture that the company emailed to the customer for an approval of design and posted to fool the dirt sheets & IWC

I've stopped before. I just looked up results on the ol' interwebs. It's not quitting wrestling altogether, just quitting the actual watching. But eventually they do something (ex: Summer of Punk) that pulls me back in again though, convincing me that this time, things will be different....wow, I just realized how my relationship with wrestling is like having an abusive ex I just can't stop stalking and hooking back up with. That's pretty f'd up, actually. Cue Rihanna & Eminem singing "Love the Way You Lie"...

What good is changing the title when you need to bring back a chunk of the attitude Era. You have the rock just for 3 months, Y2J, taker for WrestleMania, possibly stone cold because you have unwatchable content and matches. You have no confidence in the talent you do have.

There are blue chip talent being wasted away. Your best wrestler had the championship, but made the belt meaningless when you make other matches the main event. It's only when cena enters the title picture that the championship was elevated and ultimately loses it to the rock and sounds like a cry baby and not the best in the world.

You have Daniel Bryan used as comedy relief with Kane as tag team champions and having him job to guys that can't last 5 minutes in the ring with him.

Then you have real talent with Dolph Ziggler, who should be the world champion than a heavily pushed yet not know how or what to do with Alberto del Rio.

Then you have Cody Rhodes being completely held back and they don't know what to do with him, so they have him grow a mustache, that's a brilliant story line.

You also have damien Sandow and Antonio who have enormous potential, but need to develop their characters more. The shield could be something special, but could easily be lost in the crowd once they disintegrate.

Ultimately, the programming, writing and booking needs to change otherwise the current "champ" belt is perfectly symbolic of the joke that is World Wrestling Entertainment.
