I was thinking about this and I thought it might be an interesting topic for a posting. Does the fact that not only will it be over a month a way from now, but about TWO months before the game comes out, before there will be any footage or in-depth news. Just how much will they even want to share as not to break any promises. We basically have seen about 10 seconds of material. We have been given a very short synopsis of the features and a small list of vague minimal improvements in an IGN news article and occasional tweets.
Does this make you think that WWE '13 is pretty much "The Emperor's New Clothes", where this is pretty much it and they don't have anything to show for it? Does THQ have something to hide by not sharing information or not proud of what they've accomplished? Is this a stealth promotion with as little information given to the public because they know that they got burnt last year by hyping the game up and making a lot of promises that they ultimately couldn't keep? Do you think this shows that they have not made investments in the game to vastly improve it?
Contrary to this point; does it bring you a feeling of self-created hype because you the gamer are filling in the blanks of what this game is going to be like? Are you excited, that because so little has been relinquished to the public besides a few nuggets of information from an article, some tweets and brief snippets of footage that they want this to be a more "pure" build-up to a game with lots of surprises and improvements that they are keeping close to the vest? Does the lack of information remind you of the pre-internet days of reading just small pieces of information from a preview in a video game magazine? Does less information make you yearn to know more and that in itself is part of the thrill?
Are you concerned that not much has been done to improve upon WWE '12 or are you hyped up about all the things that "could" be in the game, but you just don't know yet? What does a WWE video game due out in FOUR MONTHS that we know so little about mean to you?
