T...N...A, WE ARE WRESTLING...
The cameras start rolling live in the Impact Zone as the crowd rises to its feet with signs and excitement as TNA Xplosion, debuts on The Fight Network. The camera pans throughout the crowd as we catch a glimpse of signs like...
TNA is Tag Teams
WarGames 2007
And...
Kane got what he deserved!
Mike Tenay and Don West are shown at the broadcast booth as the begin to speak to the cameras...
Batista vs. Bobby LashleyWest: Welcome to TNA Xplosion. We’ve got a KILLER Main Event tonight.
Tenay: You can say that again… 4 teams… one ring… I hope things don’t get out of control.
West: Well, with these 4 teams… we can expect anything. Plus, I’m sure Team 3D and Deuce and Domino will be watching this match very closely. And all 6 teams are in the building tonight, so fireworks could ignite.
Due to time constraints of the Battle Royal, this match is cancelled for the week. Look for it to happen at a later date.
As this announcement is made, we cut to a preview of this week’s Impact!
Impact! will come to you live from Orlando, Florida this Sunday from the Impact! Zone with our final stop on the road to the No Surrender Pay-Per-View next Sunday.
In our main event this week was supposed to be King Booker teaming with Masato Tanaka and Scott Hall against Kurt Angle, John Cena, and CM Punk. The only problem for Angle's team is that CM Punk will be out of action and won't make it to Impact! and we don't know when this straight-edge star will return to TNA. This leaves Angle and Cena short, can they co-exist knowing that they could face each for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship after No Surrender. Angle needs huge momentum going into No Surrender as Scott Hall has reunited the nWo to secure the title for Hall next Sunday. How will King Booker and Masato Tanaka get along knowing that they'll be facing off next Sunday for a right for a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship? Don't forget what Nigel McGuinness said about making Kurt's life a living hell. Will he get involved in this match? With the nWo reformed expect Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash to be nearby as well.
The signing of a brand new TNA superstar will take place on Impact! All we know from last week is that he will be the highest paid guy on TNA's roster. Vince Russo didn't seem too excited about signing the deal and some of TNA's best stars weren't happy to hear about it either. Who is this new superstar and how will he make an Impact! this week in the Impact! Zone?
Samoa Joe and AJ Styles will battle it out this week for a chance to name the stipulation for their X-Division Championship match at No Surrender. The Samoan Submission Machine said last week that Styles crossed the line and now at No Surrender they'll play by his rules but only if Joe can defeat Styles in this highly anticapted matchup. AJ scored the pin on Joe last week, thanks to Christoper Daniels, and is looking to continue to prove why he thinks he's the rightful X-Division Champion. This rivalry has been picking up steam since Hard Justice and it has been slowly heating up. Now the hatred these two have for each other will be for full display when we receive a preview of their Pay-Per-View encounter this week. Who will gain full momentum as we get closer to No Surrender?
Eric Young will cash in his Hardcore Championship shot this week against Christopher Daniels. Eric Young won that shot in a House of Fun Fatal-Four Way on Xplosion a couple of weeks ago and wants to prove that victory wasn't a fluke. Christoper Daniels has been on a roll as of late and looks to continue his winning ways this week on Impact! There is word going around that a huge announcement concerning the Hardcore Championship and No Surrender will be made sometime during this week's Impact!
We'll see three-fourths of the Fatal Four Way for the Pure Wrestling Championship at No Surrender in a triple threat match as Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett, and Ric Flair, the new Pure Wrestling Champion, will hook up. Flair won the title last week by using a low blow on Jarrett but then the referee reversed the decision after seeing it on the titan-tron. Jarrett was awarded the belt back only to have William Regal reverse the reversed decision. Jeff Jarrett and Ric Flair then found out that Kevin Nash and Nigel McGuinness will face them in a Fatal-Four Way match for the Pure Wrestling Championship at No Surrender. Jarrett then hit Flair upside the head with his guitar and picked up Flair's title and placed it on his chest. You can bet Flair will be looking for payback this week. Nash needs momentum after losing his shot to get in the Number One Contenders Triple Threat match at No Surrender, can Nash bounce back? You can bet that Nigel McGuinness will be keeping a close eye on this match.
Trish Stratus will take down Maria this week as a warm up for her Knockouts Championship opportunity at No Surrender. Trish ruined a battle royal and won a triple threat match to earn her shot. Candice will be keeping a close eye on Trish's performance to see what she's in for at No Surrender. Don't count Maria out though, she was close to getting that title shot last week. Could Maria possibly pull off a huge upset?
With CM Punk being out of action, where does this leave The Rock? Vince Russo may address that issue this Sunday on Impact! CM Punk and The Rock were supposed to go one on one at No Surrender.
Get ready for the road to No Surrender to make it's final stop this Sunday. Who will get the advantages they need and who is the newest member of the TNA roster? Find out this Sunday at 9/8 central, only on Spike TV!!!!
As soon as the preview ends, we are taken backstage where we see Team 3D arrive in the parking lot. They exit their vehicle, grab their Tag Titles and head to the main entrance. As they are walking, a black BMW races around the corner, squeeling its tires. The Dudleys are shocked that its coming right for them. Bubba tries to push D-Von out of the way, but the car manages to swipe both of them. D-Von hits the bumper and rolls to the side as Bubba lands on the hood, shattering the windshield.
He rolls off the hood and to the concrete below as the car screeches off into the distance.
Bubba and D-Von remain motionless on the concrete as refs, crew members and paramedics rush to the scene. Don West and Mike Tenay are in complete shock as the music for the Motor City Machineguns hits the arena.Tenay: MY GOD!!! What just happened to OUR CHAMPS!!!
West: We need MEDICS back there… NOW!!!
Tenay: Bubba looks bad… folks we’ll have updates for you as soon as we can.
Ring Announcer: It is time for our main event… This is the Tag Team Battle Royal. The last man standing enters WarGames last… Introducing first, from Detroit, MI, they are Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin… the MOTOR CITY MACHINEGUNS!!!!
Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin continue down the ramp and into the ring, awaiting their next opponents.
Ring Announcer: Entering next, from South Carolina… Matt and Jeff Hardy… THE HARDY BOYS!!!!!
The crowd nearly blows the roof off the building as Matt and Jeff make their way to the ring, dancing and taunting to their typical theme music. They enter and pose on the turnbuckles for the cameras.
Ring Announcer: And entering next… the Road Dogg Jesse James and BA Billy Gunn… the NEW AGE OUTLAWS!!!!
They run down the aisle and slide into the ring. Road Dogg instantly goes for Alex Shelley and Billy Gunn goes right for Matt Hardy. A big brawl breaks out as we await the Steiner Brothers.
Ring Announcer: And their opponents… Rick and Scott Steiner… the STEINER BROTHERS!!!!
As their music hits, the 3 teams in the ring continue to brawl and no Steiners appear. The crowd continues to wait for them, but they are delayed.
As he utters these words, Rick and Scott appear in the tunnel and run the ring. They slide in and go for anyone near them. Scott clotheslines Jeff to the mat. Belly to Belly to Chris Sabin. He flexes, kisses his bicep and drops the elbow to the chest of Sabin. He picks him up and tosses him over the top rope, but Chris hangs on. As Scott tries to get Chris eliminated Rick goes for Jeff Hardy.Tenay: Where are they? I just saw them in the building before the show went on the air?
West: Not sure, Don.
Rick charges him, but Jeff hits a drop toe hold to the bottom rope. He runs off the ropes and hits a knee to Rick’s back, strangling him on the rope. Jeff continues to choke Rick on the bottom rope as Billy Gunn Irish Whips Matt Hardy. Elbow misses and Matt dropkicks Billy. Billy stumbles back and gets a reverse DDT from Alex Shelley. Road Dogg leaps at Matt Hardy, forearming him in the face. Matt stumbles backwards. Road Dogg with a sidewalk slam to Matt.
Jeff Hardy diverts his attention from Rick to Road Dogg. Jeff lands a few stiff punches to Jesse James. As he does, Matt Irish Whips him to the corner and gets on all fours. Jeff runs and leaps off Matt’s back. Whisper in the Wind to Road Dogg. Road Dogg stumbles forward and Matt tosses him over the top rope. He manages to cling on. Jeff and Matt begin to force him out. As they do, Billy Gunn grabs Jeff Hardy by the hair and slams his face into the turnbuckle. Facebuster to the mat. Rick is back up and decides to help Matt eliminate Road Dogg. Both men are pushing hard on him, trying to unbalance him. From behind, Billy Gunn tosses Rick over the top rope to the floor below.Tenay: There’s so much going on, I can’t stay focused.
West: Remember… both feet have to touch the ground to be eliminated.
Spoiler:
He slams the floor hard with his fists as the remaining men continue to battle. Billy punches away at Matt, allowing Road Dogg to re-enter the ring. In the opposite corner, Scott is pummeling away at Chris Sabin. German Suplex to Sabin. Scott tosses Sabin over the rope again, but Sabin hangs on and shoulders his way back into the ring.
Billy Gunn suplexes Matt. Matt is hurting as Billy picks him up again. A second suplex. Billy tosses him to the ropes… big boot to Matt’s chin. Jeff dropkicks Alex hard and Alex is knocked through the ropes to the floor below.Tenay: It’s down to 7 men now.
West: Will these teams have anything left for WarGames?
Alex writhes in pain on the floor below as the ref checks on him. Jeff turns around and gets kicked in the nuts by Road Dogg. He bends him over and hits an Pumphandle Slam to Matt. Matt’s down and Road Dogg nails his shakey leg knee drop.Tenay: Almost eliminated. But he has to go over the top rope.
West: At least there are less people in the ring now.
Meanwhile, Scott Steiner has locked in the Steiner Recline on Chris Sabin. Chris is tapping out, but it doesn’t count.
Sabin begins to pass out from the pain as Scott refuses to release the hold, knowing he can’t tap out to it. Scott wrenches it in tighter as Chris fades to black. Just then, Alex Shelley slides in and hammers Scott in the back. Scott loosens the hold and stands to face his new attacker. Alex tries to Irish Whip the big man, but he stands motionless and instead pulls Alex forward into a short-arm clothesline. Scott picks up Alex and tosses him to one corner. Then he picks up Chris and tosses him into Alex. Chris stumbles backwards into a military press by Scott. Scott presses him a few times, showing off his strength before tossing him over the top rope to the floor below.Tenay: He’s gonna break his back.
Spoiler:
Scott then turns his attention to Alex… mudhole stomping him in the corner. While this is going on, Jeff and Matt are hammering on a downed Road Dogg. Billy Gunn had been laid out by a few high impact moves earlier and is lying motionless nearby. Jeff and Matt pick up Road Dogg and double suplex him. Jeff goes up top and hits a Swanton to him followed by a leg drop by Matt. Road Dogg appears gone as Billy Gunn begins to stir again.
Matt attends to Billy Gunn with a Twist of Fate, sending him to the mat yet again. Jeff calls over his brother as he’s trying to lift James over the top rope. Jesse is holding on tight though. Jeff runs off the ropes and comes back with a dropkick to Road Dogg sending him to the floor below.
Spoiler:
As the Hardys turn around they get double clotheslined nearly out of their shoes by Scott Steiner. They are back up… another double clothesline. Matt is back up. Belly to belly on Mat. Jeff is back up… belly to belly on Jeff. Alex runs towards Scott and gets powerslammed to the mat. Scott is cleaning house as all 4 of his opponents are down and out. He grabs Matt and drags him to the ropes. He hoists him up to chuck him out and Jeff chop blocks his knee. Matt goes crashing ontop of Scott as he crumbles from the blow to his leg. Scott back to his knees, but Jeff runs off the ropes and hits a dropkick to his jaw.
Scott gets back up, clutching his face in pain. Jeff walks over… chinbreaker to Scott. Jeff taunts as the fans go crazy. He turns around to get a kick in the gut followed by a Fameasser from Billy Gunn. Jeff rolls to the side as Billy celebrates his finisher. From behind Alex Shelley gets him with a reverse DDT, then runs the ropes and drop kicks him in the face. Billy rolls to the side in pain as Alex stands back up. He turns around and Matt slugs him in the face. He punches again, but Alex reverses and arm drags Matt to the canvas. Snapback to Matt.Tenay: What a shot? Did you hear that?
West: How could I not… his jaw must be broken!
Alex is back up, he turns around into a Fallaway Slam by Scott Steiner. Scott whips him to the corner… FRANKENSTEINER off the TOP ROPE!!!! The fans go nuts.
Scott grabs Alex by the hair and puts his head between his legs. Powerbomb position. Scott lifts him up and goes for a powerbomb over the top rope, but Alex reverses it into a hurricarana sending Scott over the top rope, but he grabs on before his feet hit. He muscles himself back to his feet, still on the apron. Alex charges him, but Scott sidesteps and tosses Alex over and into the barricade.Tenay: Wow! What a move by the veteran!!!
Spoiler:
Scott is back in now as the Hardys and Gunn stumble to their feet. Scott and Billy look at each other, smile and charge the Hardys. Drop toe holds to both men. Jeff hits a flip leg drop to Scott as Matt hits an elbow to Billy. Matt tosses Billy to the corner and goes uptop, punching away at him. Billy powers out and hits a sitdown powerbomb to Matt.Tenay: Well the Motor City Machineguns are gone.
West: 3 Teams left.
Tenay: Or what's left of them.
Jeff picks up Scott and goes for a Twist of Fate, but Scott blocks and hits a reverse suplex to Jeff instead. Scott picks up Jeff and whips him shoulder first through the turnbuckle partition and into the ring post. Jeff clutches his shoulder in pain as Scott lifts him into a Torture Rack. Matt goes to save him, but Billy grabs him by the arm. He whips him over the top rope, nearly sending him to the floor. Billy goes to clothesline him, but Matt slips under the bottom rope and under Billy. Billy turns around shocked and gets a dropkick which sends him through the ropes to the floor below.
Scott sees Billy hit the floor and thinks he’s eliminated. He switches from torture rack to military press and tosses Jeff’s lifeless body at Matt, forcing a crossbody splash to happen. Both brothers go down hard. Both brothers rise and Scott charges them with a double clothesline, but they duck and spin both hitting dropkicks to the chest of Steiner. He goes down hard and the Hardys taunt. Jeff slides under the ropes and goes under the ring, looking for something. He finds a ladder as the fans cheer. He slides it into the ring as Matt punches away at Scott.Tenay: Billy Gunn almost got eliminated there.
West: My bets are on the Hardys winning this one!
Jeff sets up the ladder at one end of the ring and begins to climb. Matt picks up Scott to set him up for a Twist of Fate as Jeff reaches the top. Matt goes for his finisher, but Scott pushes Matt forward and into the ladder. It totters and spills Jeff to the outside.Tenay: What’s he doing with that?
West: I don’t know… it’s not a ladder match!
Spoiler:
Matt stumbles backwards, confused as to what just happened and Scott grabs him. He bodyslams him onto the fallen ladder and Matt’s body bends around it. The crowd goes crazy. Scott picks up the ladder and slams it into the ribs of the downed Hardy. Again. Again. Scott rests it against the turnbuckle and picks up the injured Hardy Boy. Belly to Belly into the ladder!!!
As Matt hits the ground, Scott returns to his feet and slams the ladder down on him one last time. Scott then flexes, kisses his bicep again and drops the elbow onto the ladder resting on Matt. Matt writhes in pain some more. Scott pushes the ladder outside and grabs Matt by the hair. Powerbomb position and he nails it… over the top rope to the ladder below.Tenay: He’s gonna KILL HIM!!!
West: Jeff brought the ladder in… not Scott! Blame him.
Spoiler:
Billy Gunn slides back into the ring behind Scott. Scott is celebrating, thinking he has won this match. His arms are raised high in the air. As he turns, Billy grabs him and chucks him over the top rope. Scott manages to hang on. Billy punches him. Blocked. Scott fires a punch of his own. He grabs Billy Gunn into a stalling suplex position, still standing on the edge of the apron.Tenay: He’s gotta be broken in HALF!!!
West: Look whose back!
Billy is still hanging in the air, upside down as Scott weighs his options. Finally, you can see a “Screw it” look on his face as Scott decides to suplex Billy to the floor below. Before he can though, Deuce and Domino rush the ring and push both men off the apron to the floor. One ref declares Scott the winner as Billy’s feet touched first… the other disagrees and tries to raise Billy’s hand. Either way, both men are hurt.Tenay: What’s he gonna do?
West: Billy is in a precarious position here.
Deuce and Domino slide out and attack both men, taking advantage of their state of weakness. The refs, too busy arguing with themselves, ignore the fight. They declare both as winners.
Spoiler:
As the decision is made, Domino spins around Scott into a Bear Hug and Deuce hits the Jumpin Heel Kick Enziguri.
D&D hit the West Side Stomp on Billy afterwards, knocking out both winners. As they do, the Motor City Machineguns and the revived Hardys chase them into the crowd, followed by Road Dogg and Rick Steiner. The announcers continue to rattle off suspects until Xplosion goes off the air.Tenay: West Side Stomp!!! WEST SIDE STOMP!!!
West: Not again!!!
Tenay: Are they the ones that took out Team 3D?!?
West: I don’t know, but the Steiners were late to their match as well… it could be either team.
Tenay: Either way, we just got word that Bubba Ray and D-Von have just been checked into the ER. We hope to get word on their condition as soon as possible. We’ll keep you updated on TNA.com. And hopefully, they’ll be able to ID the driver.
West: I bet it was the New Age Outlaws.
*****
ooc: I think this will be the last Xplosion for awhile. Out of 7 possible RPers, I had 2... and I was one of them. Thanks to YFNR for RPing. Hope the show was decent regardless of lack of participation. And thanks to RAW for the preview. We'll see how participation is after No Surrender to see if we need Xplosion again. If not... it was fun while it lasted.
