Mark Johnson of Agetec already confirmed the ship date as 11/13. Anything thats not confirmed by him or Agetec is bullocks.

Like I said, Mark Johnson of Agetec already confirmed the shipping date as 11/13 at the Fire Pro Club boards.
The review seemed to harp on the fact that they're still using sprites in 2007 - so what? At least they really enjoyed the gameplay enough to give the game a good rating. Hopefully the other reviews that roll in will be more positive.
Classic.
The guy is right about people not knowing japanese wrestlers. Unless you follow puro 24/7 like myself, you probably won't know who Jumbo Tsuruta is or even Jun Akiyama.

This jabroni who reviewed the game, doesn't like the game controls, has quit EDIT mode of all things and basically says hes a sports entertainment fan. Being a long time puroresu fan, I bet this guy doesn't know who Jumbo Tsuruta, Giant Baba, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Keiji Mutoh, Tenzan, Jun Akiyama, Takeshi Rikio, Toshiaki Kawada, Tenryu, Naomichi Marufuji, Yuji Nagata, Jado and Gedo, Jinsei Shinzaki, Great Sasuke, Taka Michinoku, Dick Togo, Mohammad Yone or Aja Kong is nor would he even last 5 mins watching a Jumbo/Misawa match.
I'm saying that hes basically saying that this game is for those who are basically familiar with Puroresu(Japanese Wrestling) and if not won't like this game much at all.
They obviously let the wrong guy review this one. It almost seemed as if he didn't want to like it. Either way, still won't deter me from falling in love with this when I get it in.
Classic.
Sadly, his review is probably going to be pretty accurate according to most wrestling fans in the US. Honestly, if I hadn't discovered AJPW and NJPW back when I was in high school, I would still be a WWE mark and I wouldn't care a whit about this game. Now my expectations are completely different, both for my wrestling and games.
Damn, now that I think about it, maybe puro is the worst thing that ever happened to me....
1up Fire Pro Wrestling Returns Review:
http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3164517
As you can see, Returns is packed with options. I didn't even touch on the match types (everything from your typical cage match to barbed-wire deathmatches). Don't like those? You can also set up mixed-martial arts matches in an octagon. Casual WWE followers might not find Returns so hot, and it's not for everyone, but if you are a hardcore wrestling fan, you must play this game. Still on the fence? The best bit of info is saved for last: Returns is only $15. Like I said: best wrestling game ever.

Haven't even touched Match Maker and Edit modes, I give this a solid 9/10 and is hands down the best wrestling game I have ever played. The replay value is beyond out of this planet and into the universe. You can basically do anything from Pro wrestling to MMA to even boxing. Now if I could just get my hands on KOC 2.
Two VERY BIG Thumbs up. Let us hope this will spark a new Fire pro in the future.
I don't watch Japanese wrestling at all, I know some people like Kenta and Great Muta and some other big name guys, but I love this game, if you are just a true wrestling fan, you should love this game
I give it an easy 9.5/10
