3… NOOOO!!!! Shoulder up. Kane then tosses Jericho off him like a rag doll. Jericho back up as Kane makes it to his feet.
JR: Without the use of weapons, Jericho is having a hard time keeping the big man down.
King: He won’t have that problem at the Rumble, JR.
Kane tosses Jericho to the corner and wails on him. Jericho stumbles forward as Kane attempts a clothesline. Chris ducks, slips to the side and kicks Kane in the gut. He attempts his new finisher, but Kane pushes him away instead. Jericho tries again, but Kane gets his hand around Jericho’s throat. CHOKESLAM!!!! And a cover.

JR: I can’t wait to see these two go at it for the gold… we could have a NEW ECW Champion in 2 weeks.
King: But it’s anything goes and you can bet Jericho will take every advantage of that, JR.
Royal Rumble Preview:
King Booker, Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Kurt Angle, Sabu & Samoa Joe
Back from commercial and all participant are already in the ring, waiting for the bell. As soon as it sounds, all 6 men quickly pick their opponents and being swinging away. Punk and Angle, Samoa Joe and Booker, Sabu and Danielson. Angle hits a few suplexes to Punk and taunts. Samoa Joe backs Booker into the corner and hits a few knee lifts, then attempts to lift him over the top. Sabu dropkicks Danielson, but he deflects it and hits a reverse DDT to Sabu instead.
Samoa Joe can’t seem to get Booker over the top, so he changes plans and sets up for the Muscle Buster instead. He nails it and decides to help out CM Punk with Angle. The two double team Angle with Joe holding his arms behind his back and Punk punching away at Kurt’s exposed chest. Samoa Joe then hits a belly to back suplex on Angle. He runs to the ropes and does a back splash to Angle.
JR: It seems alliances are forming here, King, but we all know, it’s every man to himself.
King: It’s always sad when friends are forced to turn on one another in the end.
JR: It’s inevitable, King. It’s the nature of the battle.
Sabu hits a DDT to Bryan and jumps to the ropes, but Samoa Joe hits the ropes at that exact moment, sending Sabu over the top and to the floor below. The ref signals he’s out.
Booker is back up and he nails Joe from behind. Punk rushes to his aide, but Booker ducks and holds the top rope, sending Punk flying over and landing to the floor below.
JR: It’s down to 4 men, King.
King: Eliminations are coming fast and furious, JR.
Booker and Joe begin punching one another again as Danielson and Angle square off. Joe eventually gets the upper hand and locks in the Rear Naked Choke on Booker. Booker flails, but to no avail. He can’t escape so he taps out.
JR: Booker is tapping, but you can’t be eliminated that way, King.
King: But if he passes out, that’s another thing.
JR: You still have to get him over the top rope.
Booker does indeed fade and after Joe is satisfied that he is out, he releases the hold. Joe looks at the knocked out Booker and decides he’s no real threat anymore. He helps Danielson with Angle, leaving Booker a heap on the mat. Samoa Joe rushes Angle and hits a clothesline as Bryan hits a clothesline to Angle, sending him over the top and to the floor below.
Both men turn towards Booker, but Joe clocks Danielson from behind, cheap shotting him. He grabs him by the hair and chucks him over to the floor.
JR: And the alliance is over, King.
King: Can't trust anyone in a Rumble match, JR, and Danielson found that out the hard way.
Booker is still lying on the mat as Joe cockily walks over to him. Joe reaches down to grab him, but Booker springs to life, grabbing Joe by the tights and pulling him shoulder first into the turnbuckle’s metal post. Booker springs up and hits a Book End to the stunned Joe. Booker looks at his hand with his eyes wide open as the crowd cheers. SPINAROONI!!!!!
Joe stumbles to his feet as Booker goes for an axe kick. Joe sidesteps and hits a kick to Booker’s head instead. Joe rushes Booker with a clothesline sending him over the top rope. Booker grabs onto Joe and both men go over together, hitting the floor in one large heap.
JR: Both men have been eliminated King.
King: Who’s the winner?!?
One ref rushes over and raises Joe’s hand in victory. Another on the other side raises Booker’s. The two argue as both Samoa Joe and Booker try to shake off the cobwebs and comprehend what is taking place. Finally, the refs come to a decision and raise both men’s hands in victory.
Joe refuses as rage fills his face. He shoves Booker telling him he hit first. Booker gets a stern look and disagrees with that assessment and shoves back. Joe turns away, but comes back with a hard right, as Booker retaliates with a right of his own. Both men begin punching at one another as the refs try to separate them. They are interrupted by William Regal’s theme music as he appears on the ramp.
Regal: It seems we are in quite the quandary, aren’t we?
The crowd boos him.
Regal: Well… I know the winner of this match was supposed to be able to choose their entry number… but now we have two winners… and we simply can’t have both of you choose.
The crowd boos, because that is indeed the MOST obvious solution.
Regal: So… we will allow you both to enter… under the SAME number.
Crowd cheers at such an odd solution to the problem.
Regal: Which you two must agree on. 2-14. Which number will you both enter at? I want my answer by next Monday. So Joseph … Booker… choose wisely.
After Regal’s music hits, he exits the arena as Joe and Booker glare at each other with contempt. They hate that decision, but are forced into it. They continue the stare down as we head to a commercial break.

Batista looks at James Storm, asking him if he wants some, and Storm just laughs. He gets beer from Jackie and drinks some before pouring the rest on the fallen Goldberg.
JR: What’s going on?!? Where did Batista come from!!??
King: And Storm just showed his true colors there by not helping Goldberg.
Suddenly, Orton and Flair slide into the ring. Orton looks like he wants to brawl with Batista, but gives him a hug instead.
JR: THEY ARE IN ON IT, KING!!!
King: Is this the reformation of Evolution?
JR: I don't know, King, I don't know.
Orton and Flair raise Batista’s arms in the air in victory. Storm just glares at them and finishes his beer. He holds up one arm into the air, flashing the WolfPac symbol with his fingers as we head to a promo.

Ted Dibiase’s music hits as he makes his way to the ring. A red carpet is set-up with a folding table and two chairs. Ted is followed closely by Irwin R. Schyster who is clinging tightly to a metal briefcase. Ted enters the ring, wipes his feet on the apron and enters as IRS holds the ropes for him.
Ted is then handed the briefcase, which he sets on the table. He uses a key to unlock the case and opens it up. Inside, he removes a stack of papers and sets them next to the case. After this is done, IRS closes the case and removes it from the table.
Dibiase: And now… Ladies and Gentlemen. It is time. Time to sign the death certificate for the New World Order. We can’t have hooligans and paupers like the nWo running around the WWE causing chaos and disorder. It hurts business. And more importantly… it hurts Mr. McMahon’s wallet.
The crowd boos at Vince’s greed and Ted’s attitude.
Dibiase: So Scott Hall, Triple H. Get off your wallets… walk to the ring… and put your John Hancocks on this Title match contract.
The WolfPac Howl echoes throughout the arena as Scott Hall and Kevin Nash make their way to the ring. The crowd has mixed reactions to the duo. They enter the squared circle and Ted gives them each a dirty look. Hall takes a seat and is handed a pen. He snickers at the formality of the event, but is interrupted by Triple H’s music.
Triple H, accompanied by Stephanie McMahon, strut down the aisle. Virtually no boos can be heard as the crowd is very Pro-DX. The title is wrapped firmly around his waist as the lights reflect off it’s surface. Triple H gets on the apron, drinks some water and spits it into the crowd, much to their delight. He steps through the ropes, then lowers then allowing his bride to enter. Triple H turns and mouths some words to Hall before taking his seat directly across from him. Stephanie scowls at the Outsiders.
Dibiase: While Vince McMahon could not be here tonight to oversee this event… I have to thank you Stephanie for being here. To have a full-blooded McMahon oversee the demise of the nWo and every hint at wCw will die with them at the Royal Rumble.
Steph smiles and nods at Dibiase, welcoming the compliment.
Dibiase: So without further ado… the contract.
Ted hands it to Scott Hall first. He looks at it, scanning the lines of legalease, then allows Kevin to peer at it momentarily. Kevin nods and Scott puts it back on the table. He lifts the pen and scribbles his name on the line. After he is done, he flicks the pen at Hunter as if it were a toothpick, ricocheting it off his chest. Hunter is about to stand up and flip the table, when Stephanie calms him down. HHH instead grabs the contract and holds it up to his face, so both him and Steph can read it. Triple H slams it down on the table after a nod of approval from his bride and signs it. He then forcefully hands it to Ted Dibiase. He examines the signatures and smiles.
Dibiase: So it is official. The WWE Title will be on the line at the Rumble between DX and the nWo. And if… at the end of the night, the nWo is in possession of the WWE’s most prized title… Vince will no longer appear on air or have anything to do with creative control. However… if DX still has the title at the end of the night… the New World Order… IS DEAD!!!!
Triple H smiles evilly at Hall who just takes it in. Nash leans over and whispers something to Hall, which makes him smile. Most likely something at Hunter’s expense. Triple H arrogantly brushes it off and stands to leave. He motions to his title, then does the cut throat motion to Hall. Hall huffs and blows off the taunt.
Dibiase: And Scott Hall… since you are already out here… let’s begin your match.
Sara Del Rey marches down the aisle as Triple H and Stephanie begin to leave. Nash also takes this moment to leave behind them as well as we head into a commercial break.

Edge Somehow gets a shoulder up, still determined to once again have gold around his waist, even if it is the Intercontinental belt. Hall argues with the ref before grabbing Edge by the hair again and locks Edge in an abdominal stretch furthering the damage on Edge's back. Knowing Hall was near the edge of the ring, Del Rey extends her arm while the ref is in an angle she cant be seen and Hall grabs on to her hand, putting more pressure on the back of Edge. Melina sees this and tells the ref but as the ref checks it out, Hall lets go of Rey. Melina then goes up the apron and complains to the ref for the outrage that was happening and Hall takes advantage by grabbing on to Del Rey again. The boos from the fans grow louder as Melina finally steps down from the apron and goes to the other side of the ring without Del Rey knowing. Melina then runs towards Del Rey and spears her to the concrete. The fans let out mixed reactions as the ref tries to take control of them. Edge then being the ultimate opportunist gets out of the hold by using every ounce of energy he has and low blows Hall. He then turns Hall towards him and hits the Edgecution on Hall which made Hall take a nasty fall, head first. Edge then hooks the leg and the ref notices it and goes for the count.

KICKOUT!
Somehow Hall gets a shoulder up and the fans start "This is awesome" chants which echoes throughout the arena. With the divas separated, full attention is put back towards the men in the ring as the 2 start to slowly make their way up and the chants have yet to come to an end. They then grogilly make their way up and meet in the middle of the ring, exchanging blows with neither man gaining or losing advantage. Hall then grabs Edge by the head and knees him to the abdomen which gives him the momentum he was looking for. He then Irish whips Edge to the turnbuckle and Edge lays on the turnbuckle almost senseless. Hall then runs towards Edge with shoulder first and thrusts Edge on the corner damaging both the abdomen and back area of Edge. He then stops after a number of thrusts and goes to the opposite side of the ring before running towards Edge for a running corner clothesline but Edge sees this and out of sheer instinct gets out of the way and Hall hits the turnbuckle chest first with tremendous impact. Edge runs to the ropes and hits Hall with a spear! Right in the middle of the ring. Edge hooks the leg and goes for the pin.

Kickout!
Amazingly Hall gets yet another shoulder up and Edge is stupified. He starts to pull the hair from his head as he rolls to the mat almost letting out a tantrum. Out from the curtains then comes "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash who walks down the aisle with purpose.
King: Is this going to be a repeat of Survivor Series JR?!
Nash then steps up on the apron and the ref goes towards him. The fans start to boo knowing that once again the nWo may screw a WWE employee and retain the belt. Both men are slowly standing to their feet when Hall suddenly kicks Edge to the crotch with a low blow causing Edge to slowly fall on his knees to the mat. Hall then puts Edge up his shoulders for an Outsider's Edge when suddenly from the crowd comes a limping Shawn Michaels with crutch in hand to help him walk. Hall then drops Edge to the mat with Nash still distracting the ref when suddenly Hall sees Michaels. He tries to talk trash to Michales and sticks his head out in between the ropes when Shawn suddenly smacks him with the crutch to the head. Hall gets nailed and falls to the mat unconscious. Melina then drags Edge on top of Hall while Nash points out whats happening but the ref doesn't listen to him and insists he gets off the apron. Edge is now placed on top of the fallen Scott Hall as Triple H runs down the ramp and pulls the legs of Nash causing him to fall off of the apron. Triple H then Irish whips Nash to the steel steps as the ref puts his attention back to the ring and sees Edge on top of Hall. He goes down the mat for the count.
