BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
The cameras go around to show fans all over the arena, there are all kinds of different signs such as ‘Tonight, Vince gets his ass kicked!’ as well as ‘King Booker is a fake!’ The camera then pans in on Joey Styles and Jerry Lawler who are at ringside.
[Joey Styles] Hi everyone, I am Joey Styles with Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler beside me, that’s right, not Mark Madden, it’s Joey Styles now on Raw! We are live in Pittsburgh PA, over 15 000 people are here to witness what could be quite a Raw King!
[Jerry Lawler] First of all let me just say, Mark Madden did a great job on commentary but it’s great to have you here Joey!
[Joey Styles] Thank you.
[Jerry Lawler] And you’re right, what a Raw, we have a great main event tonight, a 5 man gauntlet match to determine the number 1 contender.
[Joey Styles] That’s right, recently it seems a lot of people have said they want that title, they have a desire to win the World title, they need to understand, there are a lot of great wrestlers in the company, they can’t all be World Champ, some of them need to wait their turn.
[Jerry Lawler] You’re right, we got so much great talent on Raw, we could have had an 8 man gauntlet match for the number 1 contendership, but we gotta be reasonable.
Some music hits the PA system.
[Joey Styles] Hey, I think that’s the music of Chris Daniels.
[Jerry Lawler] Looks like we’re gonna open up with a few wise words from the champion.
Boos immediately echo through out the building as Daniels makes his way out in his usual trench coat with a hood hiding his face. He walks up to the entrance way and throws his hood up revealing who he is. And then drops the trench coat on the ground revealing he is wearing some nice black pants with a black buttoned up shirt. The WWE Championship is strapped around his waist. He then removes it and slings it over his left shoulder. He marches down to the ring with the always beautiful Gail Kim following directly behind. His music cuts out as he makes it to the center of the ring. He then points over towards the announcer and Gail Kim walks over and snatches the mic out of the announcers hand. She then enters the ring and hands it to the fallen angel.
[Christopher Daniels] Tonight.... Tonight will finally determine my number one for this championship. The biggest prize in Wrestling history. Five warriors will battle it out and seek the path to becoming World Champion. The only error in their rightful path is going to be the Fallen Angel. The Fallen Angel, Me, Christopher Daniels will be standing in that path. And as long as I am standing in the way they will fall short and never succeed to reach there ultimate goal.
[Fans] 'Daniels Sucks! Daniels Sucks! Daniels Sucks!"
[Christopher Daniels] Shut your mortals mouths! How dare you speak to your angel like that! I am here trying to guide all of you blind fans in the right direction and this is how you repay.... Soon enough, soon enough you will see. The Destiny of Daniels started at the Elimination Chamber at No Mercy, it then continued on RAW two weeks ago and it will only continue from here on out. You all should feel honoured and privileged to get to see your true Angel live out his destiny right in front of your faces. You see with God and my beautiful sorceress by my side, I am unstoppable, I am unbeatable. And trust me when I say this rage of war the other WWE Wrestlers have brought upon will continue but only get worse for them. I ask you all one question, How do you defeat an Immortal gift from God?
Daniels holds the mic out and waits for an answer but fans are to busy booing and chanting there negative feelings about him out loud to even get a chance to answer as Daniels pulls it back to his mouth seconds later.
[Christopher Daniels] You Cant! Not even if you have a heart of a king, the motions of a viper, the will of a showstopper, the Immortal soul of a deadman, or the personality of a psycho because the one thing you will never possess is the God given gifts and abilities of a Fallen Angel. and that my friend is the gospel!
The music of Christopher Daniels hits as he and Gail Kim make their way out of the arena to boos.

[Joey Styles] Okay we are back from commercials and let’s not waste anymore time and get to the matches, I think that’s Nash’s music!
Nash’s music hits as he makes his way down to the ring. He climbs the steps and then climbs over the top rope in to the ring and awaits his opponent.
Next up Christian’s music hits the PA system as he makes his way to the ring. Christian climbs in to the ring in between middle and top rope and gets immediately attacked by Nash!
Kevin Nash v Christian [single match]
The bell rings, Nash has Christian in the corner of the ring, he throws him in to the turnbuckle and goes in with some hard back elbow strikes! Nash brings Christian out of the turnbuckle and lifts him up on to his shoulders before he drops him on to the ropes with snake eyes! Christian bounces from the top rope on to the floor.
[Joey Styles] I think he caught the top rope throat first!
Nash offers his hand to Christian who sticks his arms out. Nash lifts Christian to his feet and then knocks him down again with a hard right hand!
[Jerry Lawler] Haha! Christian thought they were gonna be friends.
Nash looks down at Christian. He grabs him by the head and raises him to his feet before throwing him in to the turnbuckle again. Nash walks over and chokes Christian on the turnbuckle with his foot! Christian looks to be struggling. The referee counts to 4 and tells Nash to get his foot off so he does. Nash moves away. Christian staggers out in to the middle of the ring where Nash kicks him in the gut and sets him up……..Jackknife Powerbomb! Nash drops down and makes the cover.

Nash’s music plays as he grabs Christian and throws him out of the ring before celebrating his victory.
[Joey Styles] Well big Kevin Nash made light work of Christian there.
[Jerry Lawler] He squashed him! Not literally, but, Christian couldn’t do a think, Nash took him apart and picked up the win in no time!

We see Vince McMahon backstage about to be interviewed by Mark Madden.
[Mark Madden] Mr McMahon, I wanted to ask….
[Vince McMahon] Hold on. What’s the rush? Why are you so quick to jump in with the 1st question, have you not got manners? What about asking me how I am.
[Mark Madden] Oh Sorry, how are you Mr McMahon?
[Vince McMahon] I’m fine and you are?
Mark Madden has a confused look on his face.
[Mark Madden] Don’t you know who I am? I was on commentary the past 2 weeks.
[Vince McMahon] Of course, that’s right. You were on commentary with Jerry Lawler before I replaced you, not because I think you did a bad job but because I think Joey Styles is better.
[Mark Madden] Okay.
[Vince McMahon] Anyway you still got a job so you should be happy.
[Mark Madden] I am happy.
[Vince McMahon] What is it you wanted to ask?
[Mark Madden] I wanted to ask you about this main event tonight, you made the main event last week on Raw so are you looking forward to it?
[Vince McMahon] Strange question, of course I am, I wouldn’t make a main event if I thought it was going to suck! I made this 5 man gauntlet match because I think it’s gonna be great, and it’s gonna determine who gets a shot at the World title. May the best man win.
[Mark Madden] Thank you for your time.
Vince McMahon gives Mark Madden a funny look and walks off.
KENTA’s music hits as he makes his way to the ring.
Next up JBL’s music hits as he makes his way to the ring. JBL climbs in to the ring and looks at KENTA.
KENTA v JBL [single match]
The bell rings. KENTA and JBL lock up and JBL immediately knees KENTA in the stomach, then pushes him away. KENTA regroups by the ropes, he runs at JBL but JBL hit’s a shoulder to the face and knocks KENTA down. JBL raises KENTA to his feet and throws him in to the ropes but KENTA grabs hold of the ropes and holds on. JBL runs at KENTA but takes a kick to the gut, KENTA follows it up with a swinging neck breaker! Pin….

[Jerry Lawler] That was close.
KENTA waits for JBL to get up, grabs him around the waste and hit’s a bridging German suplex pin….

JBL gets out just in time.
KENTA and JBL get to their feet, JBL runs at KENTA but KENTA moves and JBL runs in to the turnbuckle, on his return KENTA dropkicks him in the back and knocks him face first in to the turnbuckle. KENTA walks over and turns JBL round, then he hits some hard chops followed by woooo’s from the crowd. KENTA then gets up on to the 2nd and starts to punch away at JBL’s head! After a few punches to the head JBL grabs KENTA around the waste and moves out of the turnbuckle!
[Jerry Lawler] He’s got him in the bear hug!
JBL has KENTA in a bear hug! KENTA struggles in the hold as pressure is applied by JBL!
[Joey Styles] This could be it for KENTA!
JBL tightens the grip as KENTA struggles for air! KENTA starts to head butt JBL, after 4 head butts JBL releases the hold and drops KENTA to his feet. KENTA falls to the floor. JBL walks over but KENTA takes his down with a leg sweep takedown! KENTA gets to his feet, JBL gets up right after and takes a dropkick to the face! JBL is down.
[Joey Styles] Hey what’s this?
Mike Quackenbush shows up at ringside. KENTA turns around and sees Quackenbush who is standing at ringside, Intercontinental title around his waste. Mike Quackenbush has a smile on his face. He decides to climb up on to the apron….KENTA runs over to knock him down but Quackenbush quickly drops back down to ringside. KENTA turns round to continue the match with JBL but takes a Clothesline from Hell! JBL hooks the leg

Mike Quackenbush is gone as JBL’s music hits and he looks at KENTA down in the ring.
[Jerry Lawler] Well KENTA got screwed!
[Joey Styles] No this was just a bit of payback, KENTA appeared at ringside for Mike Quackenbush’s match with Randy Orton so Quackenbush did the same to him.
Vince McMahon is in his wrestling gear backstage talking to Pat Patterson.
[Vince McMahon] Did you see that? What a great win by JBL there.
Mike Quackenbush walks by Vince as he speaks.
[Vince McMahon] Hey Quackenbush! Get over here.
Mike Quackenbush walks over.
[Vince McMahon] You wanted KENTA to lose the match so much, you wanted JBL to beat him, well you know what, you just made a match for yourself at Backlash, you’re going to defend the title in a match with JBL. You know, I think he deserves a title shot. He had his chance once, but he’s picked up a couple of impressive wins on Raw and he should get a shot at the Intercontinental title. Bye now
Mike Quackenbush leaves with an unhappy expression on his face.
[Vince McMahon] What do you think? JBL v Mike Quackenbush, how does that sound?
[Pat Patterson] Absolutely brilliant.
[Vince McMahon] It’s done then, Mike Quackenbush v JBL for the Intercontinental title at Backlash, it should be good.
Pat Patterson nods in agreement.
[Vince McMahon] By the way, you and Brisco know what to do, right?
[Pat Patterson] Oh yeah.
[Vince McMahon] Fantastic, then watch me lay the Smackdown on The Rock’s ass!
Vince McMahon smiles and walks off.

The Rock’s music hits as he makes his way to the ring. The fans cheer as he does his usual taunt on the turnbuckles and then waits for Vince.
Vince McMahon’s music hits as he makes his way down the ramp. Vince climbs in to the ring.
The Rock v Vince McMahon [‘Vince McMahon kicked your ass club’ match]
The bell rings as Vince leans on the ropes, trying to keep away from The Rock but The Rock runs over and knocks Vince over the top rope to the outside! He then climbs out of the ring and throws Vince in to the ring post! Vince yells out in pain. The Rock then throws him in to the barrier, back first! Vince yells out in pain again! The Rock grabs Vince and takes him up the ramp to the entrance way. Vince tries to fight out by elbowing The Rock in the stomach so The Rock kicks him in the gut and DDT’s HIM ON THE RAMP!
[Jerry Lawler] How can you do that to the owner!
The Rock lifts Vince to his feet slowly and brings him up the ramp and to the backstage area. The Rock walks passed some people backstage who laugh at Vince, he then throws Vince in to a near-by table with coffee cups and plates on it! Vince crashes in to the table! Suddenly Pat Patterson attacks from behind! The Rock soon takes control though, he throws Patterson head first in to a wall! Gerald Brisco runs at The Rock with a chair in hand but The Rock avoids the chair shot and kicks Gerald Brisco right in the ribs! Brisco drops the chair, The Rock picks it up and hits Brisco right across the back with it! Brisco falls to the floor. Patterson and Brisco are down!
[Joey Styles] Well that ambush went wrong.
Vince starts to get to his feet so The Rock grabs him by the head and brings him over to where there are some wooden crates and metal piper lying on the floor, he then sets Vince up……..Rock Bottom right on to the crates and pipes!!! The Rock looks at Vince one more time and leaves.
[Jerry Lawler] What? Who won the match?
[Joey Styles] I don’t know, I think the referee counted them both out a while ago so neither of them won the match, but I think, if you look at who is lying motionless in the backstage area, The Rock won the war.

Clips are shown of all 5 of the main event superstars backstage as they all separately get ready for their match.
[Jerry Lawler] Well that time has arrived Joey, main event time!
[Joey Styles] That’s right, it’s a 5 man gauntlet match, so basically it’s like Royal Rumble rules but rather than throw your opponent over the top rope you gotta pin them or make them tap. It’s only 2 men at a time, when 1 is eliminated, the next one enters.
[Jerry Lawler] Right, so being 1st is kind of like being drawn the short straw.
[Joey Styles] Yep.
[Jerry Lawler] You know, there are a lot of great competitors in this match, but my pick is gonna be Shawn Michaels, I think he’s gonna win.
[Joey Styles] We’ll see. To the match.
Shawn Michaels’s music hits first as he appears at the entrance way.
Michaels kneels on the ramp and looks up as his pyros go off! He then walks down the ramp and gets in to the ring and awaits his opponent.
Next up, Raven’s music hits on the P.A system. Raven makes his way to the ring in his mysterious style. He climbs in to the ring and looks at Shawn Michaels. The 2 try to stare each other out
5 man gauntlet main event [number 1 contendership for World title]
The bell rings. Shawn Michaels and Raven lock up. Raven has the strength advantage and pushes Shawn Michaels all the way back in to the ropes. The referee counts to 4 and makes Raven let go….as soon as he does Shawn Michaels kicks him in the gut and tries to whip him in to the ropes but Raven reverses it and knees Michaels in the gut, he bounces from the ropes and hit’s a bulldog followed by the first cover of the match

Raven gets up and grabs Shawn Michaels by the hair. He lifts him to his feet and looks to put him away early with the Raven Effect….but a few punches to the side of the gut by Michaels stop that. Shawn Michaels takes a few steps back and looks to hit his own finisher….Sweet Chin Music….but Raven grabs Michael’s foot, spins him round and knocks him down with a clothesline.
[Jerry Lawler] 2 finisher attempts early on! This is exciting.
Raven gets to his feet, Shawn Michaels gets up soon after. Both men start to slug it out with rights and lefts. Eventually one of the hard right hands by Michaels takes Raven off his feet. Shawn Michaels waits for Raven to get up hit’s a dropkick to knock him back down! Michaels climbs the turnbuckle….moonsault! No! Raven moved out of the way! Michaels landed hard! Raven uses the ropes to drag his body back up. Shawn Michaels is on the floor in pain. Raven grabs Michaels by the hair and lifts him to his feet. He throws him to the turnbuckle but Michaels skins the cat and lands back on to his feet….only to walk in to a kick to the gut followed by a Raven Effect! Raven hooks the leg

Raven picks up the first pinfall of the match.
[Jerry Lawler] I knew Shawn Michaels wasn’t gonna be the winner.
[Joey Styles] Yeah right.
The music of King Booker hits next as he walks down the ramp with a robe and crown. Raven dares him in to the ring. King Booker gets to the bottom of the ramp, takes off his robe and crown and then slides in. Raven stomps away on him as soon as he slides in before he can even get up! Raven grabs Booker by his locks before throwing him in to the turnbuckle. Raven runs at King Booker but gets a boot to the face and staggers backwards! King Booker runs out of the turnbuckle and hit’s a clothesline to knock Raven down.
[Jerry Lawler] King Booker should have an advantage here since Raven has already lost some energy to beat Shawn Michaels.
[Joey Styles] That’s right.
King Booker taunts the fans, then walks over, does his theatrics and hits a running knee drop! Booker gets to his feet and waits on Raven to get up.
[Jerry Lawler] I think he’s gonna go for a finisher, he probably knows the first match took a lot out of Raven.
[Joey Styles] It looks like it King.
Raven slowly gets to his feet….King Booker off the ropes….Scissor kick on Raven! King Booker hooks the leg

[Jerry Lawler] Raven kicked out of it, unbelievable!
King Booker is in shock. He looks at Raven with anger in his eyes, he sits him up and locks Raven in a headlock! King Booker tries to put the match to sleep a little bit by keeping Raven in the headlock for a while. After a few attempts to get out, Raven manages to get on one knee, then the other and now both men are on their feet! Raven elbows King Booker in the gut and throws him in to the ropes. King Booker rebounds off the ropes in to a clothesline by Raven….now both men are down! The referee starts to count 1.…2.…3.…4.
[Jerry Lawler] Don’t count, we need a winner!
….5.…Raven starts to get to his feet….6.….Raven is on his feet as King Booker starts to get to his….7.…8.…King Booker gets to his feet. Raven knocks him down with a clothesline again! This time Raven gets up immediately and grabs King Booker’s legs….slingshot in to the turnbuckle!….King Booker’s head thumps hard in to the turnbuckle, he turns around dazed and walks right in to the Raven Effect! Raven gets the arm over to cover

[Joey Styles] Raven eliminates a 2nd person.
[Jerry Lawler] He’s going well.
Raven lifts King Booker to his feet and throws him out of the ring, signalling for the next man to get in to the ring.
THE GONG hits, it’s The Undertaker! Raven has a slight look of concern on his face but then bounces about from leg to leg, awaiting his opponent. The Undertaker makes his slow entrance to the ring down the ramp in a long jacket and hat. He climbs the steps, takes his hat off when he reaches the ropes and climbs in to the ring where Raven goes to attack The Undertaker and catch him off guard but The Undertaker grabs him by the throat! The Undertaker brings Raven in to the middle of the ring and sets up a choke slam….but Raven hits a hard elbow to the face and it’s enough to make The Undertaker let go of his neck. Raven holds his neck as The Undertaker rebounds off the ropes and knocks him down with a clothesline! Undertaker takes his long jacket off and then slides out of the ring and goes to the outside, he drags Raven from the outside of the ring to the apron and then gets up on to the apron….Guillotine leg drop by The Undertaker!
[Joey Styles] That was right on Raven’s neck!
[Jerry Lawler] Hasn’t his neck suffered enough?
The Undertaker slides back in and grabs Raven’s legs, he pulls him in to the middle of the ring by the legs and makes a cover

Raven got a shoulder up!
The Undertaker looks at Raven, then at the referee. He gets to his feet and signals that the end is near! Raven turns on to his side as the crowd makes a lot of noise….he knows something’s up. Raven tries to get to his feet but as he does, he walks right in to The Undertaker who is waiting on him….Choke Slam! Undertaker drops down and covers

[Joey Styles] Raven is out! 1 man left, we know who it is, Randy Orton.
[Jerry Lawler] Well Raven did so well to eliminate 2 guys but The Undertaker was just too much.
The referee rolls Raven out as Randy Orton’s music hits next. Orton is standing at the top of the ramp. He looks at The Undertaker in the ring. Randy Orton cautiously makes his way down the ramp and climbs the steel steps. Orton gets in the ring, The Undertaker does not attack him straight away. Randy Orton says something to the referee, then tries to catch The Undertaker by surprise by suddenly running at him but Undertaker just lifts his boot up and knocks Orton right down!
[Joey Styles] He got that boot right square in the face!
[Jerry Lawler] I know! Get up Randy, this is your big chance to have a shot at the title. You just need to beat The Undertaker, you can do it!
Randy Orton gets lifted to his feet by The Undertaker and thrown in to the ropes but instead of returning off the ropes, Orton catches them, drops down and slides out of the ring.
[Joey Styles] Orton clearly is not happy about this match, he was probably hoping we would fight someone else, not The Undertaker.
[Jerry Lawler] He’s fine, he just need to regroup.
The Undertaker waits in the ring for Randy Orton. Undertaker gets frustrated and paces around as Randy Orton stays on the outside leaning on the barrier, some fans pat him on the back, others yell at him to get back in the ring. The Undertaker has had enough, he climbs out of the ring to get Randy Orton. Undertaker walks over but Randy Orton dropkicks him in the knee and Undertaker drops down. Orton grabs The Undertaker by the head and rains down on him with punches to the head! After a number of punches he stops and looks around at the crowd with a smirk, suddenly The Undertaker returns with lots of quick hard lefts and rights to the gut followed with an uppercut to the head as Orton falls back in to the barrier!
[Joey Styles] That’s gotta hurt!
[Jerry Lawler] Man I can’t stand when he does that.
The Undertaker gets to his feet, he walks over to Randy Orton and lifts him to his feet. He grabs Orton by his head, looks right in to his eyes, then throws him in to the steep steps!
[Joey Styles] I think that hurt even more.
[Jerry Lawler] He’s twisted, poor Randy Orton!
The Undertaker lifts Randy Orton up again and throws him in to the ring. The slides in and paces around Orton who is still struggling to get to his feet. Orton eventually gets to his feet spaghetti legged and walks right in to The Undertaker who grabs him by the throat….Orton fights out of it with an elbow to the head, then hits an inverted headlock backbreaker! Orton covers

Randy Orton gets to his feet quickly. He waits on Undertaker to get to his feet….Orton off the ropes….RKO attempt….Undertaker reverses it by scooping Orton up and hitting a side slam!
[Joey Styles] And just as is looked as if the momentum was going in Orton’s favour.
[Jerry Lawler] There’s still hope.
The Undertaker gets to his feet. He leans on the ropes trying to catch his breath. Randy Orton starts to move. The Undertaker sees it and gets ready for him. Randy Orton gets to his feet and Undertaker throws him in to the turnbuckle. He then walks over and hits some hard rights and lefts to his stomach. Undertaker grabs Randy Orton and places him on the top of the turnbuckle, The Undertaker then climbs up on to the 2nd rope and sets Orton up, BIG BACK SUPLEX!
[Joey Styles] What a big suplex!
[Jerry Lawler] It’s going from bad to worse.
Orton sits up and holds his back in pain! The Undertaker gives him no time as he grabs him by the head and lifts him to his feet again. Undertaker twists Orton’s arm and then he brings over to the turnbuckle again. The Undertaker climbs the ropes, is it gonna be? Old school on Randy Orton who gets knocked down! Randy Orton is in trouble. Undertaker waits on him to get up. Randy Orton slowly gets to his feet but he looks dazed. Undertaker shouts at him to get up. Randy Orton is trying to get to his feet. The Undertaker gives the cut throat sign to show that the end is near!
[Joey Styles] If he hits this it could be all!
[Jerry Lawler] Get out of the ring Randy! Go anywhere but not there, not to The Undertaker, get out of there!
Randy Orton staggers up on his wobbly legs and walks in to The Undertaker who hoists him up in to the Tombstone Piledriver position……..and hits it! TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER on Randy Orton by The Undertaker!!!! The Undertaker grabs Orton’s arms and crosses them over as he makes the cover

[Joey Styles] He’s done it, The Undertaker wins!
The referee rolls Randy Orton out of the ring as The Undertaker’s music hits. Undertaker celebrates his win. Suddenly out of nowhere we see someone in a hood slide in to the ring and clock The Undertaker in the head with a title belt! It’s Chris Daniels!
[Joey Styles] What a cheap shot!
[Jerry Lawler] Hey Joey it was perfectly acceptable payback after The Undertaker Choke Slammed him last week.
[Joey Styles] Chris Daniels deserved it, for being an asshole! I guess this is just going to turn the head up even more for Backlash!
Chris Daniels stand in the ring over Undertaker’s body with his title belt raised up high above his head as Raw goes off air……..
