GR Big Brother 7 - 2009
The Final!
In what seems to be an eternity, way back in mid-May I decided to once again bring back Big Brother after the [pretty much] universal good feedback I received last year for bringing it back (after being dieing a few years before) & making it as successful as it was. I, myself, can't yet judge whether this year has surpased last year's game but even if it hasn't, it's still left a load of unforgettable memories which a large number of people (some of whom weren't even apart of Big Brother, atleast from the start).
June 7th 2009 was the day in which it all began again, for GR Big Brother. 8 housemates walked into the house - some returning, some new - & were met with a number of surprises (eg the virtual house, the rule that the house's effort in the Weekly Tasks would determine the Prize Money & the final housemate to be announced, etc). Over time people came, people left - both housemates & Big Brothers - there were arguments, there was plenty of drama, plenty of tasks, plenty of surprises, & everything else that comes with the Big Brother experience. Who can forget the time when SuperCrazy was meant to leave the house, but instead he was kept in & got to evict The Lord of Darkness? Or C://Spot/Run's arrival, & his "conversations" with Jmark? Or even Cuda's departure, & the drama around that? Or heck, whether Anti should've been banned or not? I could go on, & on, & on.
To be honest, I've pretty much so far received mixed comments about people's thoughts & feelings regarding this year's game. Hopefully I can get a better look of things when hopefully some of y'all will come the questionniare that I'll post in a few days (though don't worry, I'll try to make it shorter than last year). Nonetheless it's been a rollercoaster of a journey but one that I'm glad I was apart of, as I'm sure many of you reading this are.
But that brings us onto today. The final of GR Big Brother 2009. It's July 31 2009. It's Day 54 in the Big Brother house, & it's time to reveal the final four places for this year's game. First of all though, I want to thank everybody whose helped to make this year's game what it became to be, I couldn't have done it without you - housemates, Big Brothers & non-housemates. Housemates: through everything that's happpened, I hoped you've enjoyed the game & might wish to return to the house in the future. Big Brothers: I thank you for your help & support; We ourselves have had our disagreements but I couldn't have the done the game like I did without you. And non-housemates: If it wasn't for you this game wouldn't have run as it needed to, as we rely on your votes to make many of the decisons in Big Brother. I also want to thank the Admins who have helped with the banning of people, whether it be from the forums or the shoutbox, or with any other issues I've brought to them. But, let's get onto the reason everybody is reading all this...
So, after all these 8 weeks, what have the housemates been able to accumulate for the Prize Money? Well, with all 4 housemates passing the final Weekly Tas,k it had been raised up from -$10 to $30; However, due to the housemates deciding to put Option 2 into effect (regarding the Winners Vote), the Prize Money was therefore halved & now stands at $15. Regardless of the amount, only one person can win this & that is the winner of this year's game. The housemates who land in the top 3 places will each receive a banner which they can use in their signature. The housemate who lands in 4th place will just recieve commisserations. So, with that out of the way, the housemate who finishes in 4th position... with 10% of the final vote, he is...
As previously said, the winner of this year's game will recieve $15 as that is the final accumulated Prize Money. How that will be received can be discussed later.
As previously hinted to, I'm probably going to be posting an evaluatory questionnare which I'd like all housemates from this year's game to complete. I'm not going to be hunting y'all down, demanding that you complete it for me, but it would be highly appreciated as all feedback I receive can go to help future Big Brother games here on GamingRing.
Now that kinda brings me on the future of Big Brother. Will it return in the future? I don't know. I'd like to hope it will, hopefully with me running it, but at this time I can't be certain. As other people can tell you, it's a lot of work to run this game as it needs to be run & whether I'll be able to do that in 12 months time I just don't know at this time. Hopefully I'll be able to bring it back, but I guess time will tell. Y'all will definitely know though, if it is brought back so don't worry about missing out on it. Though, I don't know how I'm going to top this year's Prize - last year it was a DVD, this year it was real money, & next time... god knows.
Once again I would like to thank everybody who in any way helped or did anything for this year's game, it was all much appreicated. I don't do it for my own health, I do it for the enjoyment of others & I really do hope that y'all have enjoyed this year's game in one way or another.
And remember, Big Brother is
always watching....

It's all good though, because all I was screwed out of is an apparent $15.
